Established in Brazil since 1881, Methodist educational institutions combine tradition, a commitment to ethical and Christian principles and values and quality to build an integrated system of educational institutions in various parts of the country. The objective is to strengthen the quality of the Methodist work in the educational sector, as well as improve the services provided, optimize resources and make the processes involving the institutions more flexible.
The Methodist educational institutions include two universities, three university centers, four colleges, and 26 schools that offer teaching that ranges from early childhood education through high school, in addition to three daycare centers, an institution that offers supplementary education, a school of music, a cultural centers and a study centers on Education and Methodism. By also including the Theological Education units, it allows the church to fulfill its mission and develop its ministry to benefit Brazilian society.
There are currently 42 educational institutions in 13 states, in addition to the Federal District, totaling more than 60 thousand students in basic education, technical education and higher education, in on-site and distance education modes.
